June: Pray for Quick Release of Incarcerated Missionary

A man held in Russia on an espionage allegation is a missionary dispatched there to support the needy and spread the gospel – with special focus on assistance to NK workers and defectors in Vladivostok. The Christian aid group he is associated with has stated that he was living in this Russian city in order to distribute clothes, medicines and daily necessities to underprivileged people there, including poor foreign workers, while working to evangelize them.

May: Pray for Young Adults in North Korea

May: Pray for Young Adults in North Korea

Pray for young adults in North Korea, where religious freedom is severely restricted. But we know that God hears our prayers and so we take these requests before Him on behalf of brothers and sisters in North Korea.

  1. Pray for Safety and Protection: Ask for God’s protection over young adults in North Korea, especially those who may face persecution for their beliefs or actions deemed contrary to the state’s ideology.
  2. Pray for Strength and Courage: Pray that young adults in North Korea may find the inner strength and courage to navigate the challenges they face, whether it’s in expressing their faith or pursuing their aspirations in a restrictive environment.
  3. Pray for Hope and Resilience: Pray that despite the difficult circumstances, young adults in North Korea hold onto hope and resilience, believing in a better future and not losing sight of their dreams and aspirations.
  4. Pray for Access to Information and Resources: Pray that young adults in North Korea may have access to information and resources that can empower them intellectually, spiritually, and practically, despite the regime’s efforts to control information.
  5. Pray for Opportunities for Growth: Pray that opportunities for personal and spiritual growth may arise for young adults in North Korea, whether through encounters with compassionate individuals, access to educational resources, or exposure to alternative perspectives.
  6. Pray for Reconciliation and Peace: Pray for reconciliation and peace on the Korean peninsula, so that young adults can live in a society where they can freely express themselves, pursue their dreams, and contribute to building a better future for themselves and their nation.
  7. Pray for Open Hearts and Minds: Pray that the hearts and minds of those in power in North Korea may be opened to the value of human rights, freedom of expression, and religious freedom, leading to positive changes in the country’s policies and practices.
April: Pray for Intercessors

April: Pray for Intercessors

Pray that more people will pray. Pray that God would raise up faithful, persistent intercessors for North and South Korea in this critical hour.

“And I sought for a man among them who should build up the wall and stand in the breach before me for the land, that I should not destroy it, but I found none.” (Ezekiel 22:30 ESV)

God is always looking for intercessors. God is seeking for hearts that are seeking for Him. The world looks for the prettiest, the richest, or the strongest. But God looks for those who pray. “Ask of me, and I will make the nations your heritage, and the ends of the earth your possession” (Psalm 2:8 ESV). The nations belong to those who pray for them. Intercession is the path for our inheritance. “Then he said to his disciples, ‘The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest’” (Matthew 9:37-38 ESV). Pray for more workers to be sent into North Korea. The day is approaching when North Korea will be free from her oppression. Pray for God to prepare His people for that day.

March: Pray for the Churches in North Korea

March: Pray for the Churches in North Korea

“If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14 ESV)

Pray for the churches in South Korea to be ready to go in and serve those in the North. And to be ready, we need to pray that the churches in Korea will be godly, humble, and hungry churches again. Pray that Korea would repent of her sins of greed, materialism, racism, and idolatry. Pray for idols to burn and hearts to return to the True Savior of our souls. Pray that God would give the churches in the South a heart to sacrificially love, serve, and ready themselves to embrace the North – as neighbors, as family. And let us pray for the church in North Korea to remain steadfast and faithful, despite the persecution they face for their faith.
